The horizontal barrier combats rising damp, while the vertical barrier keeps moisture from the surrounding earth from penetrating the masonry. If the systems fail, walls will be exposed to both rising damp as well as moisture from the outside. We use this water-repellent product to waterproof these walls \u2013 without sealing the masonry pores.<\/p><p>After application, the only thing that remains in the masonry pores is a permanent water-repellent polymer.
